In April of 2020, I wrote a children's book that reflected on some of my own internal struggles that I felt were pertinent as quarantine turned so many people's thoughts inwards.

The Day the Sun Faced Her Clouds

This book was a cathartic release of negative thoughts that circulated in my head as I lost so much of my creative energy in the Spring of 2020. The sun, a personification of bright and warm feelings, finds herself surrounded by clouds of negative thoughts that she was unaware were accumulating around her.

Through the support of her friends, the sun wrestles with her codependent and people-pleasing behaviors and finally recognizes that the only one who can continually keep herself passionate and fulfilled is herself.
